Sam’s Italian Foods

Sam’s Italian Foods was founded in 1939, when owner Sam Bennett started making salami Italians in a small shop in Auburn, Maine.

Sam’s goal was to serve the best Italians with the freshest ingredients. His business quickly outgrew the first shop and has since expanded to 13 neighborhoods across Maine. In 2021, the business became employee-owned, with workers now owning more than 15 percent of the business. Over time, 70+ employee owners will own 80% of the company, how cool is that?

The new logo is rooted in legacy—with a refreshed and modern approach to the typography and color palette. We crafted custom illustrations to highlight their fresh ingredients — adding texture and depth to the new website and print collateral.
