City of Vancouver, WA

Situated on the beautiful southern edge of Washington state, the charming city of Vancouver sits on the banks of the mighty Columbia River, forming a picturesque contrast with its neighboring city, Portland, Oregon. With a strong focus on progress and forward-thinking, Vancouver is experiencing a remarkable surge of growth, with a vibrant waterfront adorned with an array of enticing dining establishments and modern residential options.

What sets Vancouver apart is not just its physical allure, but also its unwavering commitment to equity, stewardship, and resilience. This commitment has not only captured our attention but has also deeply resonated with us, as we were honored to be chosen as their trusted design partner. Collaborating closely with the esteemed Communications Department at the City of Vancouver, we embarked on a creative journey to craft a distinctive and fitting water-themed icon. This captivating emblem elegantly showcases a majestic Douglas fir, encapsulated within the shape of a badge which symbolizes not only the city's dedication to its community but also emphasizes its unique identity - setting it apart from its namesake, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Our aim throughout this project was to firmly anchor Vancouver, Washington in the rich tapestry of the Pacific Northwest of the United States. By doing so, we aimed to honor the city's remarkable legacy while propelling it into a promising future.
